Situated in the quieter end of Seahouses but still just a short stroll from the hustle and bustle of the village and the harbour you will find The Old Granary
A family run self catering holiday cottage which we have let for over ten years with many guests returning year after year to explore the fabulous county of Northumberland and beyond.
There are many facilities on offer within walking distance, including pubs, restaurants and of course, fabulous beaches. Horse riding is available within 100 yards and there’s an impressive 18 hole golf course on the links close by. Boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands - famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony depart regularly from the harbour only 800 yards away. 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with its imposing castle where Holy Island can be seen from the wild expanse of golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick again with its famous castle well known to Harry Potter fans !
Getting around
There is a bus service (X18) which links the popular villages on the coast allowing guests to leave the car behind and take in the scenery. There is also a train service to Newcastle/Edinburgh from Alnmouth station a short drive away

GROUND FLOOR
well equipped large kitchen diner with full size integrated fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave, nespresso machine and dishwasher. There is also a 44' colour TV with freeview channels and a blue tooth speaker. The large cottage style dining table with four chairs provides the perfect place to sit and enjoy the space
FIRST FLOOR
with family shower room/WC with modern metro tiling and bespoke vanity unit. Also on this floor is our beautiful spacious dual aspect lounge providing views down the street of the old village of North Sunderland (and you might even get a sunset) Comfortably furnished with two, two seater sofas and an armchair. There is a 44' tv with freeview channels, xbox and dvd player. A flame affect electric stove provides instant heat with a cosy ambience.
SECOND FLOOR
comprises the light and airy double bedroom, with black out blind to the velux window (and a distant sea view over the rooftops and fields), a full size wardrobe and bedside cabinets provide ample storage space. The king size bed and quality bed linen make this perfect for those zzzzzs after a busy day exploring in the sea air. Adjoining the master bedroom is a beautiful ensuite WC with hand built vanity unit
Also on this floor is the cosy twin room with full size twin beds, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet.
We provide everything you could need for a coastal holiday including buckets and spades, crab lines, beach towels, camping chairs, picnic rug and picnic set. There is a well stocked toy chest and games, books and dvds for all ages
The cottage is a quirky space described by previous guests as a "home from home"
To the rear of the property is a sunny shared courtyard with an outside seat
